The 31st Sports Day of Po Leung Kuk Vicwood K.T. Chong Sixth Form College - one of the highlights of the school year was what our students had been eagerly looking forward to. This year’s Sports Day was particularly special as it was the first Sports Day held since the pandemic, which lasted for more than 3 academic years, broke out.
The summer sun filled Kowloon Tsai Sportsground with a sense of excitement and all students competed in a wide variety of events: sprints and middle-distance running, relays, long jump, javelin, discus and shot put. There were more than 700 student entries in 32 events. After a series of fierce inter-class competitions, 4C, 5E and 6A were the winners.
The Sports day was a true success, and we are thankful to everyone’s contribution, including the principal, the organizing committee, all staff and student officials. Last but not least, the students’ enthusiastic participation and cheering indeed remind us of the importance of sportsmanship and friendship amid the pandemic. We should always strive to be faster, higher and stronger in our life. See you all next year with a stronger body and mind!
