Aims & Objectives
 
In the areas of student affairs and ‘Other Learning Experiences’, the school commits to:
  • developing student’s generic skills to encourage life-long learning
  • continuing the tradition of developing students’ self-respect and self-discipline
  • broadening students’ horizons in non-academic areas for the development of a balanced life
Characteristics of the Curriculum
  • The school will maintain and further reinforce its delivery of pastoral care through the mentor system
  • The school will implement the design of ACT’s non-academic curriculum:
    • AL: lessons for OLE / generic skills / cross-curricular Activities:
      • To widen students’ horizons in the 5 components of OLE
      • To ensure students have acquired the basic study skills
    • CL: lessons on a Class/mentor basis:
      • To familiarise students with the new environment and school culture
      • To develop class spirit
      • To carry out moral & civic education in class / mentor groups
    • TL: joining uniform groups at Junior Secondary College or attending specific skillsTraining lessons at Sixth Form College :
      • All F.4 students have to learn one skill in TL lessons, e.g. video taking, photography, publication, first aid,…etc.
